Pa'ani is said to mean 'playful' in Hawaiian. This necklace/wrap is just that. You can play with it and make it into just about anything: a necklace, belt, choker, bracelet. Play with this piece and you won't get bored.

Hi'pu'u Pa'ani is 66 inches long with 10-16mm Tahitian pearls that have beautiful imperfections with gorgeous silvery/peacock nacre. Strung on supple, dark brown leather for a timeless look.

Tahitian pearls have many legends;  Oro, the Polynesian god of peace and fertility, came to earth on a rainbow to give the black pearl oyster to man. Once here, he “offered the black pearl from this oyster to the beautiful princess of Bora Bora, as a sign of his love."

It is said that hi'pu'u means "knot tied" in Hawaiian nautical terms. Knots help secure the journey. Enjoy the journey of life as it ebbs and flows just like the ocean.
